"Last year was the very first Ava Missouri Trail of Treats at our park. Our staff were dedicated to making this successful. Luckily, I had April order twice the anticipated amount of candy because all nine vendors ran out near the ending time. Our station had enough to make sure all the kids filled their bags.

Something happened: a couple of disabled children in wheelchairs came up and thanked me and our Ava staff for this opportunity. This was the very first time they had been able to trick-or-treat. My heart nearly stopped when I heard this. This wasn't the original intent, but somehow, in that moment, I knew it was. Making this successful and continuing it became a priority in my heart.

I know that this path has been directed by a higher power. Our staff have been directed to make this event even bigger and better.

Building on Last Year's Unforgettable Success After a turnout last year that was far bigger than we ever expected, we couldn't be prouder or more grateful. Above all, we owe a massive thank you to the incredible volunteers who showed up early to haul props and set everything up, stayed late to tear down and clean up, and every single participant and vendor who put so much effort into setting up booths to hand out treats. Watching our community roll up their sleeves and pass out smiles to all the trick-or-treaters was truly heartwarming, and we're thrilled to bring that same energy back for our 2nd annual event!
